　　1. 英译汉

　　Work is one of society's most important institutions. It is the mainmechanism through which spending power is allocated. It provides people withmeaning, structure and identity. Yet work is a less generous, and less certain,provider of these benefits than it once was. Since 2000 economic growth acrossthe rich world has failed to generate decent pay increases for most workers.Now there is growing fear of a more fundamental threat to the world of work:the possibility that new technologies, from machine learning to driverlesscars, will cause havoc to employment.

　　工作是社会最重要的制度之一，它是分配消费力的主要机制，赋予人身份和地位，让人生充满意义。但是，现在的工作不仅待遇不如以前，不确定性也大打折扣，自2000年以来，发达国经济增长疲软，无法给大多数工人提供体面的薪资增涨。现在，越来越多的职场人士开始担心更根本的威胁：从机器学习到无人驾驶汽车，新技术可能给就业造成严重破坏。

　　这段话词汇都很简单，读起来也没什么障碍。It provides people with meaning, structure andidentity.译文处理成了“赋予人身份和地位，让人生充满意义”我觉得处理的很巧妙。

　　2. 汉译英：

　　中国政府充分尊重并依法保障公民的宗教信仰自由，中国公民依法享有充分的宗教信仰自由权利。美方无视客观事实，年复一年发表此类报告，歪曲和攻击中国的宗教政策和状况，中方对此坚决反对，已向美方提出严正交涉。我们要求美方尊重事实、摒弃偏见，客观公正看待中国的宗教政策和宗教信仰自由状况，停止利用宗教问题干涉中国内政。同时，美方应多反省自身存在的问题，不要总是对别国指手画脚。

　　The Chinese government fully respects and safeguards Chinese citizens'freedom of religious belief. Chinese citizens are entitled to the right ofreligious freedom under the law. The US side issues such report year after yearirrespective of the fact, distorting and attacking China's religion policiesand realities. China is firmly opposed to this and has lodged solemnrepresentations with the US. We ask the US side to respect the fact, discardprejudice, take an objective and fair look at China's religion policies andfreedom of religious belief, and stop interfering in China's domestic affairswith the tool of religion. The US side should do more to reflect on its ownproblems, instead of pointing fingers at others.

　　1、英译汉

　　Such worries have revived interest in an old idea: the payment of a“universal basic income”, an unconditional government payment given to allcitizens, as a supplement to or replacement for wages. On June 5th Swisscitizens will decide in a referendum whether to require their government toadopt a basic income. Finland and the Netherlands are planning limitedexperiments in which some citizens are paid a monthly income of roughly 1,000($1,100). People from all points on the ideological spectrum, from tradeunionists to libertarians, are supporters. It is an idea whose day may come.But not soon.

　　稳增长也是为了保就业，随着服务业比重上升、小微企业增多和经济体量增大，7%左右的速度可以实现比较充分的就业。

　　At the same time, the aim of maintaining stable growth is to ensureemployment. As the service sector becomes larger, the number of small and microbusinesses grows, and the economy gains in size, a growth rate of approximately7% will ensure ample employment.

　　都是一些比较常见的词汇点，遇到要不怎么好处理的词汇要仔细想想，深入考虑词汇背后的深层含义，译文也就迎刃而解了，比如小微企业，其实就是小型和微型企业，体量增大就是规模变大。

　　1、英译汉

　　The basic income is an answer to a problem that has not yet materialized.Worries that technological advance would mean the end of employment have, thus far,always proved misguided; as jobs on the farm were destroyed, work in thefactory was created. Today's angst over robots and artificial intelligence maywell turn out to be another in a long line of such scares. A much-quoted studysuggesting that 47% of today's jobs could be automated in the next two decadeslooks too gloomy, for example. Machines may one day be a match for many workersat most tasks. But that is not a reason to rush to adopt a basic incomeimmediately.

　　1、英译汉

　　If the need for a basic income is unproven, the costs are certain. Itsuniversality is designed to encourage citizens to think of the payment as abasic right. However, universality also means that the policy would befantastically costly. An economy as rich as America's could afford to paycitizens a basic income worth about $10,000 a year if it began collecting aboutas much tax as a share of GDP as Germany (35%, as opposed to the current 26%)and replaced all other welfare programs (including Social Security, orpensions, but not including health care) with the basic-income payment.

　　Such a big jump in the size of the state should make anyone wary. Even iflevied efficiently, on an immovable asset like land, tax rises on this scalewould have unpredictable effects on growth and wealth creation. Yet an incomeof $10,000 is still extremely low: it would leave many poorer people, such asthose who rely on the state pension, worse off than they are now—at the same timeas billionaires started getting more money from the state.

　　全国范围内如此大幅的税率增涨会引起所有人的警惕。即便对土地等不动产进行有效的征税，这种大规模的增税会给经济增长和财富积累带来不可预见的后果。但是，每年10,000美元的收入仍然很低：它会让许多低收入人群的经济状况比现在更糟，比如那些依赖国家救济金的人——同时亿万富翁们开始从国家得到更多的钱。

　　文中on an immovable asset like land…这句话译文处理成了即便对土地等不动产……，这使我想起一个翻译方法：英文表达都是先总说再举例，而转换成中文就要先举例再总说。
